Your Computing Account

Unless otherwise stated, all Computing students should use your oasis account. If students require a seperate Computing account they will be told what they need to do to get it.

Penalties for Breach of Policy

Students caught breaching policy will face severe penalties and repercussions.

Any student found committing an offence relating to breaching Department or University policy will have their computing account suspended and access to facilities and resources withdrawn.

The Systems Administrators may suspend you and your account for a period of up to one week.

The Head of Department may suspend you and your account and exclude you from the University for up to two weeks and possibly recommend you be terminated from the course.

The Executive Dean for the Division of Engineering and Science may exclude you from the University for up to four weeks and terminate you from the course.

Exclusion from the University means that you are not permitted onto University Grounds - even if you have tests, assignments due or exams to sit.

Your Responsibilities

Your computing account is your complete responsibility. You are responsible for all actions that are derived from your account. Be sure NOT to let others use your account or become aware of your password.

You must also make sure that the contents of your account only have University related material within it at all times. Backing up your data is strongly advised. You need to bring along a USB drive and save your data to them. You are responsible for all your data.

Resetting Your Account Password

You can visit the OASIS website to reset your password.
