Travelling to Curtin

Parking at Campus

For those who are driving in to Curtin, please use the Student parking areas (Green marked areas) - no parking permit will be needed.

Special ACSW 2011 Bus Service

ACSW 2011 will be providing a chartered bus service for delegates to use in travelling from Perth to Curtin in the morning, and back again in the evening.

Buses will be departing from the city from the Perth Convention Centre Plaza, near the City Busport (see this map of Perth CBD for location of the Convention Centre, and this map of the Convention Centre for the location of the plaza (note that north is down on the second map).

Buses to return delegates to Perth city will depart from Curtin in the evening from the Curtin Bus Station (just outside of the main Building 300 venue - see campus map).

The schedule for the buses is below:

To Curtin: Departs 8:15am, Arrives 8:45am (two buses leaving from Perth Convention Plaza)
From Curtin: Departs 5:15pm, arrives 5:50pm (two buses leaving from Curtin Bus Station)

Tuesday
To Curtin: Departs 8:15am, Arrives 8:45am (three buses leaving from Perth Convention Plaza)

Taxis

Taxis are metered by time and operate 24 hours a day. The ride from the airport to Perth is approximately 20min and will cost $25-$35 depending on traffic, with roughly similar charges for the ride between Perth and Curtin University. The main taxi companies in Perth are:

Public Transport

Curtin University is just under 10km from the Perth CBD, and is serviced by several Transperth bus routes that travel directly between Perth and Curtin University Bus Station, as well as several other routes connecting to nearby train services. Travel between Perth and Curtin is 1 Zone ($2.50 as at 01-July-2010). See Transperth for the most up-to-date fare prices. Direct connections to/from Perth arrive and depart approximately every 15 minutes during weekdays, and include.
