The Department of Computing is offering $2,000 scholarships to students
enrolling in the first year of a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science,
Information Technology or Software Engineering) Degree in 2008, in association
with the ACS Foundation. The scholarship is offered in addition to the
Engineering Scholarships offered to student(s) enrolling in the first year of
a Bachelor of Engineering (Software Engineering) Degree in 2008 with a TER
score of 95 and higher. The scholarships are awarded to help students fund
the cost of their education.
No separate application is necessary. Eligible applicants with the highest
TER scores will be contacted by the Department in February 2008.
Hons student, Min Chew Lim was nominated as a finalist for the Peter
Fillery Prize in conjunction with the 2007 Western Australian Information
Technology and Telecommunications Awards (WAITTA). This award recognises
innovation in a student project, up to and including undergraduate or honours
level, undertaken at a WA tertiary education institution. For details about the
