Industry Bridge Award presented to Curtin students
The IEEE Western Australlia Section is proud to present the inaugural Industry Bridge Award (IBA) to a group of final year Software Engineering students from Curtin University. The project team members are Matthew Cole, Graeme Muller, Jonathon Cream and Tony Fazari who are all working together on a year long industry collaborated project with Calytrix Technologies in Perth. Calytrix Technologies is a Training and Simulation company specialising in developing and delivering integrated training solutions.
The IBA is created to facilitate and promote greater academia-industry collaboration through activities and partnerships in joint innovation. All students working on industry supported project at the four Western Australian universities are eligible to apply for the award. Successful projects will be selected competitively based on the merit of these applicants. The award fund can be used to directly support the cost of developing the project over and above what has already been committed. The benefits of the IBA are twofold; the industry will be able to gain access to top quality undergraduate research students by creating a framework for joint research. The scheme also underpins the universities continued commitment to establish strong links with the industry in research development.
