Abstract: To help assist new PhD/Masters students be effective researchers, and provide useful tips for established students I will be proposing short discussions where students may exchange techniques and knowledge about available resources. In particular I will be discussing the use of Wikis for research collaboration, and simple data backup and synchronization techniques.
About the speaker: Steve Webb is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computing, Curtin University of Technology.
Seminars are free and open to all postgraduate students in the Department of Computing and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. No booking is necessary and biscuits, tea and coffee are provided. Seminars are as informal as the speaker desires.
