ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

It has been said that the work of all great scientists rests on the shoulders of the giants who have gone before. This work is no exception. Ms. Tammy Norris once investigated if spiral galaxies are round as part of a high school science project. She did the work under the supervision of her father, Professor Ray Norris, using images from the 40-inch telescope at Siding Spring. Ray has verified that results reported here are consistent with those observed by Tammy.

Tammy's insights, as offered and reported by her father, are greatly appreciated!

As always, many thanks to Ray for another great semester!
