Geoff West is currently Professor of Spatial Information in the Department of Spatial Sciences. Until the beginning of 2008, he was Professor of Computer Science in the Department of Computing at Curtin University. He received a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering in 1978 and a PhD in Systems Engineering in 1982, both from the City University, London. He is currently a Chartered Engineer, Member of the IET, Senior Member of the IEEE, Member of the ACS, and a Fellow of Engineers Australia. He is currently a member of the CRC for Spatial Information: CRCSI.
