I got my Bachelor of Computer Science from Sichuan University, China, Master of Electrical Engineering from China Academy of Telecommunication Technologies, and PhD of Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. After getting my PhD, I worked as an Assistant Professor and subsequently an Associate Professor in NTU before moving to Curtin in June 2002.

I am now the head of the Department of Computing, Curtin University of Technology, Australia.
