G'Day,
This is the parameterised face data from NYIT and Frederic Parke.
fascia has been upgraded to allow for keyframe spline interpolated animation.
She also allows individual control of either side of the face.

It has been doctored by Andrew Marriott so that students can learn
about facial animation and expressions. It uses the FORMS library by Mark H.
Overmars (Version 1.5). This is available for anonymous ftp from various
sites throughout the world. It is also possible to run the program without
the FORMS library with reduced interactivity.
A compiled forms library is included with this release.

	ftp.cs.curtin.edu.au:pub/raytrace/fax/fax.tar.Z

We have Iris entry level Indigos, XS24Z's, XZ4000's ,4d70gts as
well as 4d20s and the code is for those machines. It should compile easily
with the supplied Makefile. It is suggested that a subdirectory be created,
the .tar.Z file be uncompressed and then untarred using the xvof switches.
Then type make and then type fax. Happy smiling.

Before fiddling more, you really should consult the documentation in
the doc area:
fax.asc - an ascii version of the doc
fax.ps - a PostScript version of the documentation including
diagrams.

I have included two keyframe files which may be loaded and
previewed:
		kyf/abekas7.kyf	- a short 10 second 250 frames piece
kyf/fax.kyf	- a longish piece that had speech synchronisation.
These may be viewed by typing
 		fax kyf/abekas7.kyf
and then pressing the button marked "WIRE" and then the button
marked "PREVIEW" to get wire frame preview or by running on a reality engine
and forgoing the above pressing of the "WIRE" button (lucky bastards!!).

I have included several parameter files including one of royal
heritage. There is also an online help file and thats it. It is worthwhile
consulting the November 1982 issue of the IEEE Computer Graphics and
Applications journal for more info on the face.

My thanks to Frederic Parke and the NYIT Graphics Lab.

	Andrew Marriott.
