Herein lies useful information re the Computer Animation Negus Raytracing system
(    This is the readme file in the pub/raytrace directory of our ftp site.    )

The doc directory contains compressed postscript documentation for the raytracer
plus various technical reports/etc.
  raytrace.ps gives long blurb (90 pages) about raytrace as well as tutorials.
  short.ps gives a brief overview plus a table of contents of raytrace.ps
    plus some Postscript b/w pictures.
  farming.ps is a technical report re farming frames and scanlines in a network
    environment using the CAN raytracer.
  animation.ps is a technical report re the animation setup here at Curtin
    University and recording onto a 1" SONY Video recorder.
  paper.ps is a Conference paper re the use of the CAN raytracer for animation.

   Uncompressed size of raytrace.ps is  ~4.2Mbytes.
   Uncompressed size of short.ps is     ~1.1Mbytes.
   Uncompressed size of farming.ps is   ~1.8Mbytes.
   Uncompressed size of paper.ps is     ~1.1Mbytes.
   Uncompressed size of animation.ps is ~0.9Mbytes.

The man directory contains compressed postscript manual pages for various
utilities. These are all small.
  raytrace.1.man.Z is the most useful one.

The pics directory contains directories which contain various examples of the
raytrace output in Silicon Graphics, Utah Raster Toolkit and Sun raster format
(8 bit images only for the suns (Seems a pity to use raytracing and then
emasculate the image in this way)).
All images are compressed.
We can produce other formats if requested.
