Abstract
This paper describes Paper Clip Plodd - a skeletal model with articulated
limbs which
is used for research on
computer animation at Curtin University of Technology using the
Computer Animation Negus's Raytracing System.
A brief description of the modelling, rendering and animating software, the
image manipulation and conversion utilities and the hardware used in the
production of the animated pieces at Curtin is also given for perspective.
It is shown that high quality animation work can be done at a relatively low
cost
