About Me

Born in Thanh Chuong and growing up in Vinh town of a North Central provice of Vietnam called Nghe An. While attending Phan Boi Chau High School (part of Nang Khieu Nghe Tinh), I won a silver medal in the 34th Internal Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) in 1993 and was awarded a full-scholarship to study in Australia. After graduating with Bachelor of Computer Science (with Honours) from Curtin University of Technology in 2000, I've conducted a PhD degree research in the area of Content-Based Video Indexing and Retrieval/Multimedia Content Management under the supervisor of Professor Svetha Venkatesh, which was completed in April 2004.

Currently, I am currently working for IMPCA (Institute for Multi-sensor Processing and Content Analysis) as a Research Fellow, Department of Computing, Curtin University of Technology. There is also my bit in IMPCA website which contains links to my published papers.
